Our clients occasionally have a requirement for appraisal of a product. This may be an existing product in their portfolio or it may be an offering to their company made by a contractor or supplier. Your tailored review can offer practical and commercial insights into the product; the results are totally confidential.

On occasions the reviews are required to be "warts and all". In these circumstances a balanced view is taken of the product, its context and its price. Strengths are identified as are key weaknesses. The purpose of the review is to provide informed opinion on which to make decisions. In some instances, minor amendments to address the weaknesses make a very effective way of improving the product at little or no extra cost.

• consumer - no disassembly, treat only as user
• reviewer - act as informed user, may remove covers but no invasive work
• design - performance checks, reliability assessments, identify areas for improvement/remedy

Often a straightforward product review can be conducted in half a day to a day with adequate notice. This makes the turn around time quick and the fee level low. Reviews that lead to design work can be credited against the total cost by agreement.
